The International University Center for Soul Studies
Il Centro Universitario Internazionale di Studi sull’Anima, the International University Center for Soul Studies was founded in Florence in 2007, and, as the first of its kind, has taken on the task of investigating Soul in all its facets: encompassing an historical perspective of its conceptions, from the very beginning until today, and its representations, profound structures and functional dynamics
As a college level and post-graduate center, the School intends to welcome and bring together scholars, lecturers, and students from all over the world on subject matters and ideas pertaining to Soul by way of fields of study and diverse disciplines that have always been engaged with it: Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies, Mythology, Ethnoanthropology, besides, more recently, Depth Psychology
The Center was established as the first Master School on Soul Studies, an international level training program that provides lectures in English and Italian; an original and innovative pathway of studies completely dedicated to knowing the Soul, with didactic activity that, through a program as simplified as much as qualified, is capable of offering insights, reflections, analyses, and instruments for the interpretation of one’s own individual journey, the Soul’s journey, of its profound meanings and sense of lived experiences: from the analysis of daily dynamics and motives to the profound, archetypal, religious and spiritual roots of existence
The Center, even by way of its Scientific Interdisciplinary Committee of Supporters and Collaborators has launched the Libera Universita’ Internazionale di Studi sull’Anima or International Liberal University on Soul Studies, the first entirely dedicated to the idea and healing of soul, encouraging and advancing its recognitions, activities, organization and didactic structure
